Have you ever wanted to create a fantasy golf lineup with the likes of Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Happy Gilmore all in the same lineup?
Well now you have that chance!
The FanDuel Group has put together a “free-to-play” daily fantasy game for a chance to win a part of a $10,000 prize pool. This fantasy game that FanDuel has put together will be a simulation of the 2020 Masters.
Let us take a look and see how the event works and who some of the players are in this fantasy contest.

How does the event work?
This event will work just like your normal daily fantasy lineup tournaments.
The user will have to pick six golfers, while staying under the $60k salary cap. The group of golfers will be a combination of current golf superstars, golf legends of previous years, popular characters from different movies, and other famous sport greats.
This is just like a normal daily fantasy sports format. The user will have to balance his or her lineup to give themselves the best chance during this simulation as the golfers will tangle with the course at Augusta National.
The event format and scoring will mirror the identity of a normal PGA fantasy contest. One round of the event will be simulated each day, with the leaderboard being updated at the end of each night.
The golfers will go through the “custom number Fire simulator” which will take the distance, par, and player skill into consideration. This event will be closed to entries starting at 12 pm ET on Thursday, April 9.
The winners of this one-of-a-kind contest will receive site credit on FanDuel.
Rory going higher than Jack
The most expensive golfer is Rory Mcllroy at $12,000. Nicklaus is the most expensive golfing legend at $11,900. A participant can snag Happy Gilmore at a price of $7,200. If you would like to go the route of a celebrity, you can draft Tony Romo at $7,000. There are plenty of other golfers available to choose from besides current golfers. Some of the other legends and celebrities include: Arnold Palmer, Nick Faldo, Bobby Jones, Johnny Miller, and Steph Curry.
Other movie characters include: Shooter McGavin, Judge Smails, and Roy McAvoy. There are a lot of great characters and professionals to choose from, but you must balance your lineup if you would like a piece of the pie, when it is all said and done. This new PGA Sims event is part of FanDuel’s process of expanding the “free to play” contests.
PGA Tour events rescheduled
There have been many golf matches canceled, but there are also a few events that have been rescheduled. A few of the major tournaments rescheduled are: The Masters, PGA Championship, and the US Open.
The Masters was supposed to have started this Thursday, but has been moved to November. The first round will start on Nov. 12 and run through the 15th.
Each day’s round will start earlier and end earlier, as the sunrise and sunset are different in November than in April. The course will play longer for the golfers as the temperature will be a factor in their play. The weather may also play a role causing the long hitters to adapt and make changes to their approach.
The PGA Championship was originally scheduled for a May 14-17 start, but has been postponed and moved to Aug. 6-9.
The US Open was previously scheduled for June 18-21, but has since been moved to Sept. 17-20.
