In 2019, Illinois became one of many states allowing online sports betting as a means of increasing its revenue. - The Weekly Parlay Boost gives you a chance to make some extra money when putting together a parlay wager. A winning three-leg parlay will earn an extra 10% on the wager, with four-, five- and six-leg winners receiving an additional 20%, 30% and 40%, respectively. Each leg in the parlay must have odds of -500 or greater to be eligible for the boost, and the maximum bet is $25. - Profit Boost is a weekly promotion with rotating events available for additional cash. Depending on the games during that time, they can include playoff games, golf majors, UFC bouts and many others. Unibet will decide each week which events are eligible and how much of a profit boost you could receive. For example, Unibet could offer a 50% boost to any event you choose, 20% on any live bet during a college basketball game, 15% on any live bet during the PGA Championship and 10% on any UFC fight. The eligible events change each Monday at midnight and last through Sunday. The games will rotate throughout the year.
- Unibet Sport Club is not the biggest promotion on the site, but it can give some free money. Merely place five live bets that settle between Monday at midnight and Sunday at 11:59 p.m., and you will receive a $10 bonus in your account. The minimum live bet is $10, and the odds must be -300 or greater to be eligible. Players are automatically opted into the Unibet Sport Club, so be sure to check your bonus offers every week to see if you qualified.
Is Unibet legal in Illinois?
The Illinois Legislature passed a bill in the spring of 2019 to allow sports betting within the state, and the governor signed it into law in June. The first legal sports bet in Illinois was placed in March 2020, and online betting went live in June 2020. During 2020, BetRivers, DraftKings, PointsBet and FanDuel became partners with brick-and-mortar operators to launch their sportsbooks.
Unibet entered into a 10-year agreement with Penn National Gaming to bring its product to the Illinois market, and it is licensed in the state through Argosy Casino Alton.
Initially, the Sports Wagering Act requires state bettors to register at the casino in person to create their mobile account. However, Gov. JB Pritzker suspended that requirement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
You must be 21 years or older and physically within state lines to place a wager.
How to create a Unibet account in Illinois
To join Unibet in Illinois, you can register for an account either on its website or via the app, and it is a simple two-step process.
