Chicago Bears sports betting odds

As the Chicago Bears open their 2019 training camp, expectations are high. That is abundantly clear when reviewing the Bears 2020 Super Bowl odds.

Legal sports betting in Illinois is on its way, and it’s likely that some of the nation’s strongest brands will be available for bettors.

Chicago is among the favorites for online sportsbooks to launch by Super Bowl LIV in February. Favorite sports betting brands possible to join the IL sports betting market are:

  • DraftKings
  • FanDuel
  • William Hill

Bears 2020 Super Bowl odds: offseason recap

The Bears are among the teams with the lowest odds to win Super Bowl LIV because they addressed areas of need via the draft and free agency.

Chicago added free-agent wide receivers Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel to give quarterback Mitch Trubisky new targets. The Bears added tight end, Trey Burton, as well.

In the draft, Chicago went offense early with running back David Montgomery and wide receiver Riley Ridley. Oddsmakers consider the Bears one of the favorites to win a title — the first in over three decades — because of these additions.

Breaking down the Bears 2020 Super Bowl odds

Chicago’s odds of winning Super Bowl LIV are among the lowest at Nevada’s and New Jersey’s sportsbooks. There is a little variance between the books, however.

  • William Hill: +1100
  • FanDuel: +1700
  • DraftKings: +1800
  • SugarHouse: +1800

The same four books are even more in agreement when it comes to the odds on the Bears reaching Super Bowl LIV by winning the NFC championship.

  • William Hill: +550
  • DraftKings: +850
  • FanDuel: +850
  • SugarHouse: +850

People in the Land of Lincoln who want to take advantage of legal Illinois sports betting will soon be able to. The odds are good on Chicago getting the chance to make Illinois fans happy.

Bears 2019 NFC North title favorites

All four aforementioned books list the Bears as their favorites to win the 2019 NFC North division title. All four books list the exact same odds on that bet, at +175.

Even if Chicago falters and fails to defend its division title, books still like the Bears odds of qualifying for the playoffs as a wild card. DraftKings has the Bears +400 to nab a wild card spot, and FanDuel lists the odds at about the same at +420.

DraftKings and FanDuel are also in agreement on Chicago’s win total for the 2019 season. The over/under is set at 9.5 by those books. FanDuel gives slightly better odds on the over at +120.

William Hill has the over/under on the Bears’ 2019 win total at nine and offers odds of +120 on the under. FanDuel is also high on Chicago’s defense for the coming season, listing the Bears as its favorite to lead the league in team sacks at +1000.

That’s one of the few team prop bets offered for the coming NFL season. There are plenty of player prop bets involving members of the Chicago roster, however.

Bears player prop bets: Return of the Mack

Linebacker Khalil Mack, Trubisky and Montgomery lead a contingent of Bears players fans can bet on to win awards and lead the league in statistical categories.

Mack is among the favorites to lead the league in sacks, listed at +600 by both FanDuel and SugarHouse. Both of those books list Mack at +350 to win the Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year award, as well.

SugarHouse also offers odds on Mack winning the league MVP award at +6600. Trubisky is +5000 to win that award on DraftKings and SugarHouse. FanDuel has Trubisky at +4000 for the MVP award.

There are five other player prop bets involving the Chicago quarterback.

Trubisky’s odds to finish among league’s best and worst

The prop bets on Trubisky range from the expected to the unexpected, with odds corresponding.

FanDuel and SugarHouse list Trubisky among the candidates to lead the league in rushing touchdowns. SugarHouse offers the best odds on that happening, at +25000.

The odds get lower with bets that Trubisky is more likely to contend for. FanDuel has Trubisky at +15000 to lead the NFL in passing yards, almost two times higher than the odds offered on that by DraftKings and SugarHouse.

DraftKings and SugarHouse have Trubisky at +6600 to lead the NFL in passing touchdowns. The same books list Trubisky at +6000 to win the AP Offensive Player of the Year award and +3000 to throw the most interceptions.

Deeper player props: Montgomery and Robinson

Two more players who will be playing their first seasons in a Bears uniform are involved in more prop bets for the 2019 season.

Montgomery is one of the candidates to lead the league in rushing touchdowns, rushing yards and win the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The best odds on those three bets are on DraftKings or SugarHouse at +4000, +10000 and +1600 respectively.

Robinson comes in at +10000 on DraftKings and SugarHouse to lead the league in receiving yards. FanDuel lists Robinson at +6500 to catch the most touchdown passes.

A final prop bet involves head coach Matt Nagy winning the AP Coach of the Year award. Nagy is +2000 on both DraftKings and SugarHouse.

Nagy will have the pressure of coaching a team with Super Bowl aspirations in the coming season. If the Bears can achieve that goal they will make bettors some money, though not as much as other teams with lower expectations.
