FanDuel Masters odds on Johnson, McIlroy and Spieth

Last year, the cut at The Masters was 4-over. The field of golfers is cut down after the first two rounds, so a tournament retains only the players that have a chance to win.

Spieth, McIlroy and Johnson have all won major titles in their career. Here’s a closer look at their performances at The Masters, and the odds of them making the cut:

Dustin Johnson

At the November Masters in 2020, Johnson broke the course record, firing a 20-under 268 to break the 72-hole course record held by Spieth and Tiger Woods.

In addition to his Green Jacket, Johnson won the 2016 US Open, giving him two major titles in his career. The 37-year-old has 24 PGA Tournament victories and has earned over $73 million in prize money.

Johnson missed The Masters in both 2012 and 2017 with back ailments. He missed the cut in 2014 and 2021. He currently ranks 90th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Rory McIlroy

The Northern Ireland-born McIlroy will be a sentimental favorite at The Masters. He owns four major titles but has never won the Green Jacket that goes to a Masters champion.

The 32-year-old has played in 13 Masters and missed the cut twice, in 2010 and 2021. His best finish at The Masters came in 2015 when he was fourth. He also finished fifth in 2018 and 2020, the year the event was played in November due to COVID-19.

McIlroy has made over $59 million in his playing career and is a former World No. 1. He owns two PGA Championships (2012 and 2014), a US Open title (2011) and an Open Championship victory (2014).

Jordan Spieth

The 28-year-old from Dallas made his Masters debut in 2014. He has never missed a cut in his eight years playing the tournament.

Spieth won The Masters in 2015, giving him three major titles (2015 US Open and 2017 Open Championships). Entering this year’s Masters, he ranks 17th in the World Rankings and 45th in the FedEx Cup Standings. He was third in The Masters last year.

His worst Masters finish came in 2020 when he tied for 46th. That year he made the cut by a stroke. Spieth has shot 64 twice at Augusta National, which is one shot off the course record.
