Baseball is here! For Chicagoans, that means the city gets to enjoy another summer of sweltering crosstown rivalry and checking out the White Sox odds on an Illinois sports betting app.

If you’re going to a game at Guaranteed Rate Field this summer, you may be interested in hearing the Chicago White Sox have upgraded the food and beverage options. That gives both fans and baseball bettors who like to peruse the MLB odds, a veritable smorgasbord of new grub to enjoy.

New food options at Guaranteed Rate

More like Guaranteed ATE, am I right?

Through a partnership with Delaware North, Guaranteed Rate Field and the White Sox are offering a new menu of food and beverage options for visitors to the ballpark. Here are some highlights, straight from the official White Sox blog.

The Belgian Banger is a half-pound spicy sausage atop a pretzel bun and garnished with caramelized onions, red cabbage slaw, and bacon bits. It’ll be available on the Blue Moon balcony. Fitting, as it comes topped with fresh orange slices like you might find in a bottle of the brew.

A half-pound Vienna Beef footlong headlines The Champagne of Dogs. The frank spills over the edges of a brioche bun, holding Vidalia relish and habanero mustard. The Champagne of Dogs is available at the Miller High Life Sky Lounge.

Sections 140 and 544 will be home to the Elote Corndog. The “classic ballpark corndog” comes slathered with queso fresco, “fresh jalapeños, grilled corn, cilantro, and cotija cheese,” according to the blog post.

Vegans who enjoy a ball game now have an extra option for grub at Guaranteed Rate: The Gonzo Garbanzo Sandwich. Chickpeas, hummus, avocado, tomato, gallon wheatberry bread. The delicious vegan sandwich will be available in the Carvery in section 107.

Levy Restaurants will bring new vittles to the luxury areas of the stadium, including the Club Level, Diamond Suites, Guaranteed Rate Club, Huntington Bank Stadium Club, or Wintrust Scout Seats. The added options include:

  • Chicharrónes en Bolsa
  • Colossal Potato Wedges
  • Mangonada
  • Pan-Seared Pierogis
  • Pineapple Cucumber Chamoy Skewers
  • Rib Tips

Get your drink on with new brews

Cold beer and baseball? A match made in heaven (or perhaps Iowa, if you’re quoting Field of Dreams).

The Leinenkugel’s Craft Lodge beer list now includes 75 craft beers from 50 breweries. Six new breweries are joining the roster for the 2023 season. New breweries contributing their ales to the Craft Lodge include:

  • Funkytown Brewery
  • Magners Irish Cider
  • On Tour Brewing Company
  • Pilot Project Brewing
  • Voodoo Brewing Company

White Sox home opener scheduled for April 3

The Chicago White Sox play their home opener on April 3 against the San Francisco Giants. The game starts at 3:10 pm CDT.

You can explore the food and beverage options for the home opener by downloading the Ballpark App.

Rival Cubs upgrading, too

Not to be outdone, Wrigley Field and the Chicago Cubs are also upgrading their stadium offerings this year.

DraftKings sportsbook is coming to Wrigley sometime in 2023, though there’s no opening date set yet.

Wrigley is also adding new food options throughout concessions stands, plus a Small Cheval in the Budweiser bleachers. Rounding out the improvements is the NÜTRL Zone directly above the sportsbook. The outdoor terrace will also feature new concession menu items.
