Thursday marks the beginning of baseball season, and DraftKings is giving new bettors in Illinois the chance to bet $1 to win $100.
As long as new users select a team that gets a hit, they will turn their $1 wager into $100 in bonus bets.

You must use those bets within seven days of winning in order to redeem them. There is one qualifying bet per user.
The promotion includes live bets, but excludes parlays, bonus bets, cash out bets, voided bets and odds boosts.
Which team should you choose?
The Cubs are the official sports betting partner of DraftKings, and they have a very favorable matchup on Thursday afternoon.
Chicago will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates, who finished last in the NL Central last season. The Cubs are currently -210 moneyline favorites at DraftKings.
The over/under for the game is 6.5, which is low by baseball standards. Still, we’d assume that the Cubs will at least register a hit off of Chad Kuhl, who went 2-3 with a 4.27 ERA last season.
If you don’t think the Cubs’ offense is a safe enough bet, games with the highest projected totals are the Dodgers vs. Rockies, Red Sox vs. Orioles and Rangers vs. Royals.
As a reminder, the promotion is still eligible through the month of April, so you don’t have to take a Thursday game.

DraftKings is also offering a profit boost featuring the Cubs, Yankees and Dodgers.
All three are big moneyline favorites and face the Pirates, Blue Jays and Rockies, respectively.
Parlaying the three of them to win outright would normally come out to +201 odds. DraftKings is boosting the juice to +230, though.
White Sox also open their season Thursday
The White Sox are in action on Thursday as well, and they’ll face the Los Angeles Angels on the road.
At PointsBet, new and existing users can double their money if the White Sox score at least one run. The maximum wager is $20.
Though the Cubs are clearly the most popular baseball team in town, oddsmakers like the White Sox’s chances to win the World Series much more in 2021.
At DraftKings, the White Sox are +850 to win it all, while the Cubs are +4,500. The Sox are also projected to win 12 more games than their crosstown rivals.
At any rate, it will be great to have baseball back, and fans will have no shortage of betting options throughout the spring and summer thanks to the sheer volume of games.
